Purpose of the job
Plan and supervise the maintenance and repair activities for cars, refrigeration and forklifts, and for general maintenance in the Region, according to the maintenance policies, procedures and work instructions, in order to ensure maximum availability of the vehicles at lowest cost.
Key Accountabilities
1. Work scheduling
Schedule the work for maintenance inspections and repairs and set priorities.
2. Car maintenance & repair
Supervise the preventative maintenance inspections and repair services and ensure all work arising from inspections is properly planned and completed, and check on major works, to ensure the fleet is maintained in a state of operational readiness.
3. Refrigeration maintenance & repair
Supervise the refrigeration maintenance inspections and repair services and ensure all work arising from inspections is properly planned and completed, and check on major works.
4. Daily check-up
Ensure daily check up of all vehicles and refrigeration for operational fitness.
5. Spare parts and materials
Ensure the keeping and monitoring of the required stock levels of spare parts and materials, using the inventory control system, to ensure balance between availability and cost.
6. Equipment and drawings
Maintain and replace (when necessary) the maintenance tools and equipment, record technical drawings and assist in commissioning of new equipment.
7. Safety, Health, Environment & Quality
Ensure the work is done according to the procedures and instructions for safety, health, environment and quality, in order to keep up with the company standards.
8. Training
Ensure workshop staff is properly trained for the work by on the job training and correction and formal training courses.
9. People Management
Ensure the required number and quality of people, and effective people management in line with Sadafco’s HR policies, in order to deliver the required work.
10. Cost control
Monitor and control the cost for maintenance & repair of the Regional Workshop, according to procedures and budgets.
11. Administration and reporting
Keep the records and logs for car maintenance and repair, handle the renewal of car registration and ensure reporting according to procedures and instructions.
Job Requirements
• Educational level: Secondary school or technical diploma
• Specific diploma/education: Car maintenance & repair
• Minimal experience: >5 years in similar job/ >10 years in (car) maintenance
• Languages: English, Arabic
• Other requirements: physically fit
