Purpose of the job
Maintain the financial, accounting and administrative services related to banking transactions, in order to meet legislative requirements and support municipal operations related to banking activities.
Key Accountabilities
1.Banking Administration
Administer and monitor the finance banking transactions, in order to ensure that the municipal finances are maintained in an accurate and timely manner.
2.Bank Statements
Prepare and reconcile bank statements, in order to keep an updated file and record for all bank transactions.
3.Transactions Record
Ensure transactions are properly recorded and entered into the accounting system.
4.Bank Policies Update
Communicate all newly updated bank policies to the management within the finance department, in order to react accordingly and avoid bank rejection or mismatch of bank requirements.
5.Bank deposit transactions
Support and supervise the daily cash/ cheques deposits to the bank, in order to record and monitor cash transactions made for the company through the bank.
