IT Business Analyst (Information Technology Business Analyst) - Saudi National Only

Responsible for complete life cycle of application development from understanding business requirements and how they translate to new application features through high quality code. Plan, coordinate, implement, execute, control and complete specific ICT projects

 Key Accountabilities

Applications development

Design and develop applications to support business processes and decision support process. Fulfil ad-hoc information requirement of users, utilizing ICT systems and other office tools, in order to document new development and customization as per the guidelines of change management process.

Arrange application testing and user acceptance tests to make sure only a thoroughly tested application is deployed on production system.

Trouble Shooting

Investigate errors/Incidents on priority basis, fix them and document them for future reference. Maintain complaint log and discuss it with the Line Manager on periodical basis with recommendations & proposed action plan for a permanent solution.

Continuous Improvement

Regularly review application code and structure and based on future requirement and capacity suggest enhancement to program manager. Implement approved enhancement.

Keep impact of business requirement in mind while migrating to new platform or newer version of existing platform.

Flexibility

Develop applications which meet business requirement with great flexibility. Engage with business users to understand their perception of applications and the challenges they face to come up with solutions for flexible and user friendly application.

Database & Application Administration & Security

Optimize and trouble shoot databases, in order to solve and minimize the errors. Keep a balance between front end and backend development. Follow best practice for coding to avoid any vulnerability in the application. Regularly test application against common vulnerabilities and close the gaps identified gaps.

Projects & Quick Wins

Coordinate feasibility study, business case preparation and project charter. Develop project plans & goals. Perform risk management to minimize project risks. Monitor and close the projects.

Job Requirements

Educational level: Bachelor in IT (e.g. MIS, Software Engineering)

Specific diploma/education: Certified application developer (e.g. ASP.Net, SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, Progress 4GL), Certified Mobile App developer is a plus

Minimum 3-5 year relevant experience in application development

Strong experience to program in ASP.Net and Progress 4 GL

Strong command on databases (SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS Progress DB) and their programming languages (T-SQL, 4GL)

In-Depth understanding of application design and programming techniques.

Strong application testing and user acceptance testing skills

Good working experience in VBA (Visual Basic for application, MS office applications).

Strong command on databases (SQL Server, Progress DB) and their programming languages (T-SQL, 4GL)

Experience with CSS, Java Scripts and HTML.

Knowledge of programming for diverse operating systems and platforms using development tools

Good experience in complete development life cycle of application.

Understanding of latest programming trends and their implication in commercial environment

Experience in mobile development, Qlikview Scripting Language and understanding of QAD technical and functional aspects is a plus

Experience in project management is a plus.
