Purpose of the job
Responsible for sourcing of Packaging Material at best cost, quality, terms and conditions, and to ensure on time supplies that meet production and distribution plans in accordance with best in class industry and buying practices that aligns with departments’ strategy.
Support packaging material procurement to deliver department KPI’s, coordinating supplier & packaging in its seven step strategic sourcing process.
Key Accountabilities
Sourcing of Packaging Material at best cost, quality, terms and conditions.
Plan requirements, obtain offers, negotiate rates and issue purchase orders
Follow up with suppliers to ensure on time production, dispatch and arrival of supplies.
Coordinating development of new packaging from artwork to arrival of new packaging.
Maintain reports & Communicate project updates with stakeholders.
Interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders to improve efficiencies in new packaging development process.
Ensure all information and documents are archived when required.
Identify potential suppliers for future development.
Identify cost reduction ideas and implement projects to reduce TCO.
Measuring supplier performance for OTIF delivery.
Follow up on shipping documents with supplier & to check accuracy of shipping documents.
Preparation of Monthly reports for category.
Supporting the dept. in delivering other projects to deliver business kpi’s.
Work with rest of sourcing team to deliver department objectives and SLA’s
المهارات
Job Requirements
Education: Graduate
Min 5 year experience of buying food packaging - in Saudi Arabia.
Languages: English must (Arabic is an advantage)
Other requirements:
Experience of using ERP systems
Good knowledge of MS-Office.
