Purpose of the job
Responsible for ensuring compliance with local (HSE) and international (Food) regulations & legislations of current and new markets.
Key Accountabilities
Regulatory Affairs
Ensure compliance with all legal requirements related to SADAFCO
Provide input on changing regulatory environments and the related impact on Business.
Conduct timely audits required to ensure compliance with appropriate regulations
Provide operational support and risk based recommendations
Be the regulatory function’s representative in all internal and external meetings
Primary contact with national Authorities for regulatory issues related to the activities of the function
Validate and register raw materials, artworks, collateral, promotional material and claims with local and international authorities
Lead projects that are cross functional (Quality, R&D, Marketing, Sales, Procurement) related to regulatory topics
Build relationship with SFDA/Modon and other government personnel
Maintain an updated list of the approved regulations, standards and technical regulations related to the business activity and request the purchase of any updated or newly released standard
Quality Assurance
Writing and updating raw material, packaging material and finished product specifications
Initiating corrective and preventive actions
Investigating customer complaints
New Product Development Support
Support the R&D department in the development of new products from the regulatory point of view
Health & Safety Compliance
Monitor compliance with all applicable local legislation and codes governing HSE
Interfaces with regulatory agencies, committee members and institutional staff to discuss and resolve HSE matters
المهارات
Job Requirements
Education: Minimum Bachelor degree in Food & Diary field or Biochemistry. Having a master’s degree will be an added advantage
Experience: Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a food processing industry where exposure to a factory environment is essential
Must have well developed technical knowledge in the area of food ingredients
Languages: Fluent in English & Arabic (spoken, reading and writing)
Must have a strong network within various regulatory institutions(ex: SFDA) that would help in getting the best support for SADAFCO
