Job Description
To hire competent drivers in external and local recruitments by conducting practical assessments and class room knowledge tests.
To conduct induction training activities to expose new employees to new vehicles, rules of the host country and prepare them for Saudi Traffic Police test.
To certify and authorize new employees to drive SADAFCO vehicles and cars in coordination with EHS , HR and Line manager
To conduct driving skills assessments for exiting employees by conducting on-the-job observations and their theoretical knowledge on vehicles and rules of the road.
To conduct driving skills test for employees prior to contract renewal.
To identify the training needs of drivers on an -going basis.
To design and prepare training courses (packages) that strengthens skills and knowledge learned in the basic skills programs.
To conduct on the-job and classroom trainings on defensive driving skills.
To conduct theoretical knowledge training on mechanical operation of vehicles.
To enhance vehicle users individual enhancement to the safety of the vehicle, themselves, public and public property.
To conduct traffic related campaigns within the region.
To investigate accidents and raise accident reports by justifying decisions through pictures, diagrams and police reports.
Liaise with Regional Fleet Manager, Regional Training Manager, workshop Supervisor and associated personnel on driver related issues.
To highlight risks and potentials of accidents and bring it to the attention of the management.
To segregate staff’s driving skills into four categories, excellent, Good (need training), Warning and Failed.
Implements the Driving Guidelines /Standards in depots in consultation with Fleet Managers.
To monitor regional violations against SADAFCO Standards and recommending disciplinary action.
To monitor violations against traffic Department and working to minimize the same.
To work out a scheduled plan of visit and work plan for each depot in his area.
To provide documentation input in selection/ induction/ certification/ promotion / assessment / termination of driving staff.
To maintain and report all work activities like , selection, induction, assessment , accident investigation and training and development activities on weekly and monthly basis.
To report to relevant Line Managers and Supervisors, on any issue connected with unsafe driving practices or drivers that have been observed.
To liaise with workshop staff and get their assistance on technical issues on training courses.
Skills
10 years of basic school education.
2 to 3 years of professional education.
Minimum 5-7 years’ experience as driver.
Successful completion of recognized driver instructors training program.
Good command of English and Arabic.
Excellent communication skills.
Meets the eyesight and medical requirements.
Thorough knowledge of the Road Code and driving techniques.
Mechanical and practical operation of vehicles
Desirable
Knowledge to country rules and driving habits.
Knowledge to defensive driving techniques.
Age 30- 45 years old
Essential responsibilities executed (Generic Description)
Minimum 2 years of experience as driving instructor.
Minimum 7 years of experience as driver.
Desirable responsibilities (Generic Description)
3 years of experience as Driving Instructor in FMCG environment.
Minimum 4 years’ experience as driver in the Middle East.
