Job Description
Purpose of the job
Provide technology vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives that improve cost effectiveness. Lead the planning and implementation of the information systems to support local and central SADAFCO operations and achieve cost effective ICT operations.
Key Accountabilities
1. ICT Strategy
Strengthen, develop, co-ordinate, guide and implement the ICT strategic and operational plans to improve quality of decision-making across the organization, leading to the strengthening of SADAFCO’s top and bottom line performance.
2. Organization systems architecture
Maintain, further improve and professionalize the organization systems architecture by defining standards and protocols for data exchange, communications, software and inter-connectivity of all business functions, in order to ensure standardization across the company.
3. ICT Evaluation
Provide advice and support on evaluation, selection, implementation and maintenance of information systems to ensure appropriate investment and action within the strategic plan.
4. Contract Review
Review the organization’s hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts in order to develop the organization master purchase or lease agreements for hardware, software, maintenance and telecommunication services.
5. ICT Performance
Negotiate ICT service level agreements with SADAFCO management and monitor ICT systems performance in order to ensure that the agreed service level is delivered.
6. ICT Projects
Manage the provision of ICT project requirements and computer services, including installation, configuration, maintenance and training, to ensure that the end user requirements, ICT standards, policies and procedures are applied.
7. New Technologies
Identify new ICT technologies that may enhance or replace the existing technology used by SADAFCO to be able to advise and co-ordinate with potential user departments, in order to produce evaluation reports to determine technical suitability and cost effectiveness.
8. ICT Infrastructure & Communications
Manage the stability, maintenance and implementation of infrastructure servers, the network and internal and external communications to ensure that the ICT infrastructure and communications are at the standards level required by the end user.
9. People Management
Ensure and manage an effective ICT department with the required number and quality of people in line with SADAFCO’s HR policies in order to realize the department’s goals.
10. Financial Management
Draft the ICT operating budget and ensure that the department operates within the set budget.
Skills
Job Requirements
• Educational level: University/ Master’s degree in IT
• Specific diploma/education: Certified certificate in IT Management
• Minimal experience: 10+ years relevant experience
• Languages: English, Arabic preferred
The ideal candidate has experience lives to ensure that ICT services are delivered with out disturbance. And works towards that. On top of that he is also capable of bringing ICT solutions to business partners that help them achieve goals!
