Job Description
Supervise the merchandising activities for the assigned routes and manage the dedicated area within the stores according to merchandising instructions/policy, and optimize the stock levels and display to support the realization of the sales targets for the routes.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Merchandising Lead
Lead a team of merchandisers for assigned routes and stores, to ensure proper monitoring for product’s display and product availability in order to increase the shelf share in the market. Achieve the required Sadafco merchandising standards as per company policy/guidelines.
2. Market and competitor insights
Obtain and maintain knowledge of the sales and distribution channels and of competitors’ activity throughout the area, and share and discuss with the sales team for appropriate actions.
3. Journey Planning
Make and execute the daily journey plan for all merchandisers in the team, in order to plan customer’s routes efficiently.
4. Product’s Shelf Life
Ensure monitoring the Product’s Shelf Life at the stores, to ensure that the reserved product’s space is filled up accordingly and no expired product is displayed, and ensure wastage control according to policies and procedures.
5. Shelf Space rentals
Implement new customer’s contracts in addition to existing contracts, in order to achieve a fair share of shelf among product groups and customers and maximize the availability of the products in the market. Ensure shelf space is in line with annual rental agreements.
6. Sales Analysis
Analyze and conclude on all aspects of bestsellers (the bestselling price point, display colour and style etc.) to ensure that bestsellers reach their full potential. Conduct random spot checks of outlets for compliance with annual shelf rental agreements and company merchandising policy.
7. Assets / Point of Sale material
Ensure effective utilization and maintenance of all company assets (chillers/freezers) and point of sale material to a high standard in accordance with company policy. Achieving effective and creative use of point of sale material and premia to maximize sales and market share.
8. Administration and Reporting
Prepare and administer daily merchandising reports, stock audits and advise any procedural concerns, to ensure all merchandising related administration is completed correctly and on time.
Skills
Job Requirements:
- Educational level: secondary school diploma / University
- Specific diploma/education: Business, Marketing or Finance
- Minimal experience: 2-3 years in similar job
- Languages: English, Hindi/Urdu, Arabic preferred
- Other requirements: Numerate and analytical, good computer skills, strong design skills, strong communication skills.
