Purpose of the job
To drive the frontline maintenance activities to ensure that the manufacturing team achieve 100% compliance to the production plan by minimizing engineering downtime following the maintenance strategy on breakdown philosophy.
Key Accountabilities
Maintenance
Perform preventative maintenance activity for production/utility equipment in order to carry out the standard maintenance schedule and minimize machinery breakdown
Responsible for monitoring, updating and improving the planned maintenance system and ensuring that work gets planned and progresses.
Ensure that plant and equipment perform efficiently to high quality standards.
To liaise and assist with training and support other departments in general running of the factory.
Undertake the training of others as and when required
Attend the section reviews as per the company’s operating system (SOS), give feedback for agreed actions or commit to new actions and participate in continuous improvement activities
Must be able to install and trouble shoot PLC, Relay logic control systems, frequency drives electrical low-tension distribution and control systems
Must have basic knowledge of process control and automation and must have basic knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems
Health & Safety
Ensure a clean and safe working area and potential risks are communicated for corrective actions in order to follow the company’s health & safety policy
Personally demonstrate safe behavior and take responsibility for the management of health & safety of engineering staff and contractors
Ensure all work conforms to statutory & safety requirements
Support a culture that enhances behavioral awareness to reduce accidents and near misses
Reporting
Prepare and fill up all required information in maintenance sheet/ report, in order to record any abnormal events happening in the process of equipment and/ or machine
Skills
Job Requirements
Educational level: Diploma in Electrical Engineering or similar
Specific diploma/education: none
Minimum experience: 3 years of relevant experience
Languages: Fluent in English. Knowledge of Arabic will be an advantage.
Academic qualification required 03 years diploma in mechanical or mechatronics technology.
Experience required minimum 5 years in related dairy processing industry will be proffered. Must be able to do the preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of milk pasteurizers, homogenizers, filling and packaging machines, boilers air compressors etc..
