Job Description

Purpose of the job

Plan, develop, organize and coordinate employees’ development and engagement programs for the assigned target group, in line with the Training & Development (T&D) and HR policies and company’s training needs requirements, in order to achieve development and engagement among all employees.

Key Accountabilities

1. Training needs analysis Make an inventory and analyze the training needs at individual and overall level and formulate training briefs in order to support management in follow-up to individuals and to initiate the development of training programs. More focus will be on succession planning and employees’ engagement.

2. Training and service providers Coordinate the design and delivery of training and engagement programs and ensure customizing to SADAFCO’s needs for programs which are outsourced to service providers, and communicate progress and specific issues internally.

3. Training design and develop specific succession plans and engagement programs which are not outsourced to training providers in alignment with the concerned function and in cooperation with the T&D Manager.

4. Training organization A. Organize the operations for training and engagement programs, including though not limited to participant information, production of materials, registration and administration, location and catering, and evaluations. Keep data records/reports for all operations. B. For reason of e.g. succession planning or measuring ROI, following-up with and monitoring the development of certain individuals is required after concerned employee has participated in a program. This is a process that may take a couple of years.

5. Training Perform as trainer/facilitator in selected training/engagement programs which are not outsourced.

6. Training information and brokerage Support management and employees by providing information about internal and external training programs and assist in matching the appropriate programs with individual’s and business’ needs.

7. Employee development and engagement Plan, design, develop, implement and provide tools and programs for effective employee engagement and succession development based on business and management’s needs. Also see 4B

8. Administration & reporting Input/manage data, updates, and reports in T&D’s main database/system, and ensure linkage to personnel files. Create management-level reporting with statistics and programs progress.


Job Requirements
Educational levelMinimum Bachelor’s degree, preferably Master’s degree in e.g. Personnel Management & HRD or in work and organizational psychology

- Specific diploma/education: Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), Certified Human Resources Management (CHRM), Association for Talent Development (ATD), didactics is an advantage 

Minimal experience 4 years relevant experience in T&D. Work experience in succession plans and employee engagement is preferred. 

- Preferably experience gained in a FMCG environment (Sales, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Marketing) 

- Credible and confident in dealing with staff throughout the organization 

- A positive outlook towards people and faith in the possible development of each individual

- Project management experience is an advantage

- Must be able to plan, organize and execute trainings
