Scope
State of the art RDC, fully automated warehouse that will be capable of storing over 20,000 pallets (Ambient, Chill and frozen products). Its operation will be completely guided by a Tier 1 WMS, fully interfaced with our ERP and will require specific skills/experience in order to maximize fully the efficiency gains that such a system can provide.
Purpose of the Job
- Manages overall Engineering operations at Site including, Stacker Cranes, Conveyors, MHE and Dock Levelers.
- Conduct employee performance reviews & coordinate with Warehouse Manager for appropriate staffing levels at Site. Sets guidelines and formats for Engineering Site Staff to operate and reviews of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
- Review the maintenance of the Engineering Infrastructure based on the agreed policies and procedures, in order to achieve a high percentage of Site efficiency
- Co-ordinates with MHE, WMC and Dock Suppliers to manage maintenance contracts, manage spare parts store and call outs.
- Facilitate and handle problems with engineers, in order to have a flexible approach to work and display sound problem solving. If required, liaison with Head Office for solutions
Skills
- Minimal experience: 5 years within Operational Engineering field
- Knowledge and experience of working in Warehouse environment desirable
- Languages: English
