Site Engineer

Scope

State of the art RDC, fully automated warehouse that will be capable of storing over 20,000 pallets (Ambient, Chill and frozen products). Its operation will be completely guided by a Tier 1 WMS, fully interfaced with our ERP and will require specific skills/experience in order to maximize fully the efficiency gains that such a system can provide.

Purpose of the Job

• Manages overall Engineering operations at Site including, Stacker Cranes, Conveyors, MHE and Dock Levelers.
• Conduct employee performance reviews & coordinate with Warehouse Manager for appropriate staffing levels at Site. Sets guidelines and formats for Engineering Site Staff to operate and reviews of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
• Review the maintenance of the Engineering Infrastructure based on the agreed policies and procedures, in order to achieve a high percentage of Site efficiency
• Co-ordinates with MHE, WMC and Dock Suppliers to manage maintenance contracts, manage spare parts store and call outs.
• Facilitate and handle problems with engineers, in order to have a flexible approach to work and display sound problem solving. If required, liaison with Head Office for solutions

• Minimal experience: 5 years within Operational Engineering field
• Knowledge and experience of working in Warehouse environment desirable
• Languages: English
