Job Description

Purpose of the job

 

Lead the assigned team & all marketing plans for the assigned consumer-need segment/s) in line with the marketing strategy and policies so as to maximize profitable growth. To have Ice Cream or Frozen experience. 

 

Key Accountabilities

  1. Consumer-Need Segment Management
  • Lead the assigned team & all marketing plans for the assigned Consumer-Need Segments for sustainable profitable growth on set KPIs.

 

  1. Leadership & Team Management
  • Daily lead and manage the assigned team with strong ownership to develop and implement the marketing plans and achieve the KPIs.
  • This alongside developing the team themselves through on-job training, courses, and workshops with cross-functional teams and/ or through HR Training programs.

 

  1. Consumer Insights
  • Lead the assigned team & collaboration with the Market Insights Manager to identify and understand Consumer Insights for the assigned Segment through analysis and/ or research to develop strong marketing plans.

 

  1. Advertising and Consumer Promotion
  • Ensure the development of effective Advertising and Consumer Promotional programs with assigned team & cross-functional team based on learning and/or Consumer Insights and evaluate effectiveness of the investments to achieve the set KPIs (e.g. financial and non-financial; equity, awareness). Optimize wherever necessary while developing future plans.

 

  1. Renovation & Innovations
  • Lead in generating and evaluating ideas for renovation and innovation of the assigned Consumer-Need Segment based on consumer insights, market opportunities, SWOT analysis, technological opportunities and process improvements with Supply Chain and other functions in order to improve existing Segment’s portfolio and/or to launch new segments.

 

  1. Forecasting
  • Lead the assigned team in aligning the forecasts with Supply Chain, Trade Marketing and Sales to target a high accuracy and reliable rolling sales forecast based on the building block demand planning for the assigned Consumer-Need Segment so as to ensure timely stock-availability of SKUs.

 

 

 

  1. Pricing
  • Lead in the development and recommendation of consumer pricing actions for the assigned consumer-need segment in-line with the Marketing Strategy in cooperation with Trade Marketing, Finance and Sales so as to achieve set KPIs.

 

  1. Third Party Management
  • Lead the assigned team in managing positive service and client relationships with all third party agencies and/or suppliers (e.g.: Creative, Media, Activation, Vendors of Marketing elements) to deliver the assigned consumer-need segment’s plans and KPIs.

 

  1. KPI’s
  • Lead the assigned team in analyzing, tracking and managing assigned KPI’s for the assigned consumer-need segment and take corrective actions when needed.

Job Requirements

  • Educational level: Minimum Bachelor’s degree, preference for a Master’s degree in marketing or business administration
  • Specific diploma/ education: Professional qualification in Marketing, Advertising or Communications is an advantage
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in FMCG industry of which minimum 3 years in a multinational FMCG company
  • Strong computer skills including: Word, Excel (expert), PowerPoint
  • Experienced in analyzing data, drawing conclusions and reporting the findings like market segment developments and trends
  • Track record in FMCG marketing
  • Knowledgeable with finance; can read and understand (financial) data
  • Proven project management experience
  • Proven people management experience
  • Creative mindset and at the same time understanding of doing commercial business
  • Credible and confident in dealing with other departments/ teams and with external relations
  • Languages: fluent in English and Arabic
